I have polaris spotsman500ho and the new 700 and would not even think of going hunting without them.It helps in lots of ways, but the biggest is that it keeps my lazy butt from doing all the work.It would be like leaving my gun or bow at the house without it.

Due to a bad heart, I almost gave up hunting two years ago because I can't climb the hills anymore. I got talked into buying an ATV and it changed everything for me. I bought a Grizzly 600 and now I can get to where I want to put my stand, erect the stand (with some help) and get to and from it each morning and night. That's all I use it for. To get to and from my stand and to carry deer out (by the way, no more dirt in the carcass from dragging). I hate it too that some people joyu ride and ruin it for others including myself but you can't do anything about it and that makes me mad too.
One more thing as a plus to owning an ATV. That machine saved my life this past season as I was shot in the back with a 12 guage slug, when I got down from my tree stand to look for a deer. If it wasn't for that machine and someone getting to me fast and using the machine to go get help, I'd have never made it off that mountain.
Sorry for the long post.

Crowpecker I'm glad you survived the Gun Shot in the back.Hope you have no permanent disabilities from it.We can never be to careful. That's another good reason for 4 wheelers and hunting. Ruger Redhawk

Thanks Ruger. I'm coming along pretty good. Don't have all the movement in my shoulder back and the docs say it may never happen but all in all I'm doing pretty good. It could've been a lot worse. 1/4 inch to the left and it would have got my spine.

Crowpecker I'm glad you are coming along. You are very lucky it missed your spine.I had a friend who a severed spinal cord from a car accident. He was a quadaplegic(sp?). The poor guy suffered for a few years and finally died.Hopefully in time you will regain use in your shoulder, back etc.I can relete to having a handicap. My hip bothers me everyday and it can only get worse.Just take it day by day. Hang in there. Ruger Redhawk

Here in Mississippi the four wheelers are every where. Most places to hunt have become remote. the timber companys and alot of privet land owners have refused to let four wheel drive trucks on their land. ( they tear things up too bad) On our land the rules are NO TRUCKS.
Around here yamahaw(sp) big bear is the thing. Mine is a 350 two wheel drive that is a darker color green (it won't stick out so bad ). Some are red, yellow, etc. Also full time 4 wheel drive are dangerous. I have several friends that got hurt when the front tire caught a root or something and it jerked the handle bars around and they almost got impaled in the gut.( I say 4 wheel drive on command is the way to go ).

haveme1, fulltime four wheel drives are not any more dangerous than two w/d. the driver is what is dangerous . twow/d's have hurt as many people as 4 w/d's. i have two 4x4's and love them . i have had several atv's including three wheelers. when they stopped making 3 wheelers i had a honda 350x (now that was dangerous , but fun)and i was mad . i liked three wheelers until.. i rode a 4 wheeler . hooked! and 4 wheel drive hooked . two w/d 's have certain advantages to. you can do donuts and wheelies. but i creep through mudholes and dont get mud in my mt dew.
