Default Disgusted?

Friends, tell us about the event (or something that happened)
during your years of deer hunting that left you very disgusted
but not to the point of giving up as a hunter.

A couple of years ago I was hunting whitetail in the Midwest,
and I came upon a pile of carcasses that was either killed by
poachers, or dumped by "horn hunters." Either way is was a disgusting sight. I personally know a lot of people who would
have been grateful to receive the venison to feed their
families.

Thanks in advance for all replies,
Boltaction

1. Came across two huge body deer with the racks cut off while rabbit hunting
2. Shot a doe with a smoke shot, right behind the shoulder with my bow and never found her thats a disgusting feeling knowing that she died and went to waste i looked for two days with no results it was unreal, also i hate seeing deer or other animals wounded and suffering from hunters who have made bad hits but i just tell myself its part of the game!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

What makes me sick.
Is people that shoot deer, skin it, then throw the carcus on the side of the road.
Talk about a bad image on hunting.
They could at least drag it deep in the woods, so the animals, could eat it.
And not be seen by people driving up, and down the road.

I get disgusted when some hunters don't respect others. I hunt on a small property and often have the neighbors walking across where I hunt or come up around me as close as they can and often don't care if they are ruining my hunt or not. They will walk around or talk loud. Just overall being disrespectful. The guys on one side always ride their atvs right by me because they don't like to walk over 100 yards to their stands. I would never do anything to disrupt someone else hunting and it just gets to me when others don't care.

I was hunting on a farm with my father in law. he usually hunts there and is the only one allowed to hunt there. He asked his cousin if he could bring me one day and his cousin said yes. apparrently I decided to climb a tree that was about 15 yards away from the border of the property. I was still on his cousins land. This guy comes down and I whistled to him to let him know I was there. When I am hunting somewhere that others are hunting as well, If I see them or they whistle or whatever, I move on. This guy comes down and starts telling me how he has been hunting here all his life and gets all pissed off that im in one of his spots. Why couldnt the guy go to a different spot. He sets up 20 feet away from me and kills the first deer he sees. When I saw him coming down I got down and was going to just go back to the truck and forget about it. He comes over and apologizes for yelling at me so I did in return. Then he starts talking about how he is just gods gift to hunting. I mean you would think he used a knife and jumped down on deer for a kill. He was probably one of the ****iest human beings I ever met. I dont know if I was more disgusted with the fact that he ruined one of the few chances I have ever had to hunt some nice property or just this guys overall attitude towards the world. I later found out that he had over 300 acres to hunt on. He came early enough that he couldve hunted one of the many hotspots he had. I certainly wouldve done the same if I was in his position.

Last season:

I saw a doe wandering on the opposite side of a ravine. I had my gun on her, but she looked small so I was pretty sure I was going to let her go. She disappeared behind a tree. I was waiting for her to come back into my field of view, but she never showed again. I was focused so hard in the distance that she surprised the crap out of me when I stopped looking only to find her 10 feet in front of me!! She was just looking at me, wagging her tail, with not a care in the world. I decided to let her pass and when she turned, I noticed her rear leg bleeding slightly. I was pissed. I procrastinated and then took the shot when she was about 50 feet out or so. She went right down.

A few minutes later, the idiot who shot her came calling for her (like she'd come like a dog or something), hooting and hollering, totally disturbing my space. I signaled him up to me, and he shouted back, "WHAT??" I grunted back to him, "COME HERE." I asked him if he was looking for a doe and he said that he was. I told him that he shot her in the leg and he said, "Dang man, yeah I sure busted up that tree!!", as if to imply that she was behind it and he just decided to shoot. I told him to take her and as soon as I did, he yelled into his walkie, "Hey boys, we got some meat!!"

Then, he threw her over his shoulders to carry her out (hmmm...hope another person like him didn't see her...they might have taken a shot!!) and got down to the gully and threw her across. Except he didn't throw her far enough and she landed right in the water. Making a total ruckus the entire way out. No respect for wildlife, my hunting space, or anything else.

****er.

Years ago I shot my 2nd buck ever, we were in an open field and I hit him twice. He made 1/2 way across the field and stopped as he was done. A "buddy" opened up on him and the 3rd shot hit him in the spine and claimed him. He gave me the rack later and said he was sorry but that was the day "my rules" came out.

People walking across my posted signs on my property to push deer. This happens all the time.

Had my son out on his very first opening day. He was sitting just down the hill from me when the shooting started. We had bullets hitting all around us, I yelled for him to get behind a tree as I did the same. I yelled, whistled and even shot my own gun into the ground. I never did see who did that but that was my most disgusting day deer hunting ever.
