Deer Leases, whats a fair price for Canada
My hunting club is going to be leasing out 600 acres of land in Ontario for deer hunting. Just looking into what people usually pay for leases per season (six weeks), or by the week? It has a beautiful 800 square foot lakeside cabin as well.
We are possibly thinking about leasing as a time-share or letting an outfitter expand into this also.
Everyones input would be appreciated.

Depends on where it is and what your plans are. Ive seen them go for as little as $500 for just a 1 week gun hunt on 500 acres of bushland with no cabin. Up to $3000 for the year that includes a real nice cabin on a lake and aprox 500 acres. Mine costs around $500 in materials and a week of labor for cabin and 600 acres on manitoulin.
Also do not get involved with an outfitter on a lease,, if you plan on gun hunting it only,, it will be burned out before you get there!!
What area are you looking at?

Swamp, we are leasing out (not looking for a lease), and want to lease it at a fair price.
Otis, the camp next door to us (all 100' x100' ), is a LUP too. Pretty soon all LUP' s will be gone in our neck of the woods. They are planning the Madawaska/Highlands park, so it will be smack dab in the middle of the new Algonquin south.
