sounds like it, I wouldn't be giving them any CC#, SSN#. etc..., everyone warns you about these nigerian prince scams which to me are ridiculous, it's the scams for a few grand here and there that are the ones that are more likely to catch you! ie I'm not gonna fall for giving you $30k, and you'll give me $30 million back.
Also not like western union cares, since they're making money off of it, but when western unions are located within grocery stores, the limit on money they can give out is $3grand, often times these scams online are for just under that amount etc...so if something on ebay is worth $10grand and you buy it for $2950....watch out!
a lot of these scams say for a boat or car in another state, the guy moved to Europe, shipping is already paid for, his brother owns the shipping company, etc...watch out!

By spending only a few minutes looking into it, everything looks legit. Checking the city and state registration info for their website, it's congruent to the address actually listed on their website.
Not that this means they're straight up, but they do have a nice banner ad linked to this forum. LOL!
A website and idea like that takes a lot of pre-planning even before the website is created and published. Mr. Gordon registered the site back in April, '09 and have have looked to done his homework well. Many co-sponsors have jumped on board and it takes many of them to be agreeable to actually "give" these free hunts away. One hand washes the other. The hunter gets a free hunt and the sponsor hopefully gets enough publicity to make the giveaway worth while. It's not a unique idea and is popular in many industries.
If you want to look into further, you can contact the winners of the give-away, as their name is listed, and see what they have to say about it. If they're not part of the "scam", they should tell you the inside scoop. LOL! You could also call the many participating outfitters as well. Did not see any Better Business Bureau neg reports on them either.
Mr. Gordon is definitely not hiding who or what he does. One linked example below:
-----> Mr. Gordon Info
If you want a full review, I'll link you to my online payment processor so you can pay the $75 fee. All cc's accepted. LOL!

OneShotOutfitters,
* In their link to the Outfitter Directory, your information is not there.
If you're doing business with them, that should have been updated immediately. May want to contact them about that.

According to their info at their site, that's not true. Check the info more clearly and be certain you understand all the small print. There's a lot to read. LOL!
...and send us money for giving out a free hunt
Sort of, yes. From what I read, they give you that based on the hunt's value that you provide as well as the income generated from their advertising. Thus far you haven't yet provided that service. Better to read more info and get additional info by making a phone call, etc.
As far as your business, it would do you well to work on getting your name out there more. The only One Shot Outfitters I ever heard of is in Texas. Never saw any search info for your biz from USA or CA search engines.
Best of luck,

Pheasantpoint,
Sorry to hear you haven't received a reply. I agree, you should have by now.
I would recommend trying another eMail in the event your eMail is filtering their reply or vice-versa. It's possible it's an eMail problem. Also, to "cut-to-the-chase", mention this post and I bet they'll be on it like white on rice. LOL!
Good luck and don't give up. So far it sounds like they're messing up big time.

I actually just got off the phone with Blue Creek personally. I am looking at possibly booking a Mt. Lion hunt there winter 2011. So I'm not sure why your buddy can't get ahold of them. As far as MyDreamHunts being a scam I've talked to quite a few people who have won hunts off of there and everyone has been legit.
