I see a lot of deer the first three weeks of bow seson and then the deer wise up to all the pressure and then the last three weeks of gun season (when the rut is going) I see alot of deer. In between these times deer sightings especially bucks are more sporadic.

Here in OK. I see more deer in the early bow season which starts Oct. 1st and ends at the begining of rifle season which is during the week of Thanksgiving.
The deer really become scarce after the opening weekend of rifle season.

I see more deer when i bowhunt in the early season.....after a couple of weeks, they start knowing what is going on with all the hunters in the woods.

I see more deer when there isnt a season going on. but actually i see more at end of nov and first of dec.
modern gun is on and most yahoo weiny weekend hunters are done and sitting at home!
late dec and early jan is good also. but modern guns and muzzle loaders are still used.
i would rather hunt in the last week of november and first week of december cause deer are back to a moving pattern.

In far northern WI, I see more deer during the Nov 5 - Nov 15th timeframe than the entire year combined, granted, I spend alot of time in the woods during this time, but there' s a reason for that! :-) Any time of the day during this time period can produce. (I don' t see a whole lot of deer, and what I am referenceing here is primarily buck activity and it' s during the archery season)

I bow hunt and gun hunt...and usually seen more deer while I' ve been bowhunting. I think the biggest factor is the fact that the deer aren' t feeling any pressure and are still moving around to their normal patterns. They aren' t gonna hold up in cover because of loads of hunters running around the woods and gunfire.

As for during gun season...it' s usually give or take on whether I see deer. Most of them have been hunted for awhile and sit tight in thicker cover and move less and less during shooting hours...

Then again, people down here run dogs, so it is possible to see just as many deer during gun season I reckon...

here in new jersey i always see more deer in the early archery season and more in the mornings than in the evening.

Usually the first couple of weeks of bow season in October produce the most numbers of deer during the fall where I hunt in MO. It slowly tapers off after that and the trail camera proves that as the longer the season goes on, the fewer pics I get.

ok ok i dont bow hunt.....but spend ALOT of time in the woods during that time of year small game hunting..fall turkey...scouting...im out there every chance i get in the fall...it seems that i see more bucks in the fall but when rifle season starts i see more deer....but thats how im setup in rifle season...im set up so all the fidgity hunters and the people coming in off a road push the deer our way into our thicket which has a nice funnel in it....so thats why i see alot more deer in rifle season id guess....i know they are there in the fall too but i tend to see more bucks snooping around then anything in the fall.....thats why this year i am going to wait for a nice buck instead of taking does and small bucks soon as i see them...i know theres bigger bucks...i just gota wait!....

i' d say i see them about the same, maybe a tad more in archery....they are less spooked then........
