They're still antlered here in Schuylkill county too. Those are some nice deer too!

The less doe around the longer the bucks stay horny. Only 2 of the 19 buck that run my WV hunting property still are antlered but my feeders had 51 doe at it 2 days ago.

That 6-point has been around for years. 2 or 3 years ago he was massive. A good 24" spread, huge forks and about 6" brows. He was truly in his prime then. And that ear was in mint condition after the main rut was over. See attached.

I just found a fresh rub on a 12" thick hemlock. They must still be fired up. Strange.

That big buck with forked G2s is the one I'll be keeping my eye on. I think he's pretty young still.

Interesting. I've read that the better the nutrition in their habitat, the longer they'll go before shedding.

Still haven't shed here in KY either. I have three different bucks on cam and none of them have shed. I've been waiting on this guy to shed for a month or so.

That would be encouraging. We are on top of a mountain with no agriculture. There are about 1000 acres of overgrown clearcuts, though. Some folks put out corn in the winter. We also put in some food plots this year. But they are small. About 2 acres of oats, 7 acres of turnip and a few 15X15 foot plots of rye and clover. It's a start.

This off-season I plan on making some openings in the overgrown clear cuts by cutting all the striped maple and leaving the beech.
