The property is in the deep south. The fawns are not spotted. I just wanted to know if thats normal to see them this late in the season, because I was told that if you see big bodied bucks, with small racks, it's usually because they were bred late. There antlers never catch up with there bodies. If thats true, then I need to harvest some more does on our property. Any suggestions?
definitely not true
you can tell the fawns around here still...they are noticably smaller

The latest I usually see any spots on fawns on my property is early Oct., and it's usuallly just a spot or two. About 100 miles to the east of me, in the delta region, the bucks are just now breeding does. In these areas, you probably could see spotted fawns in Nov. and possibly Dec.

I'm just messing with him. I'm sure it's possible to have spotted fawns in some parts of the country into Dec. Like I said, there could be spotted fawns in extreme eastern LA. into Dec. Where I hunt, most of the fawns lose their spots by the end of Sept., with the exception of a few.
