I wasn' t going to post to this discussion, but feel I have to because of all the suggestions of fighting with violence[:@].
THIS IS NOT THE WAY TO RESOLVE YOUR PROBLEM!
Please use legal means to solve this problem. They may take time, but will be most effective in the end.
Try face to face conversations first and threaten legal action to see if that makes any difference.
All we need is to have you end up in trouble giving yourself (and us fellow hunters) a bad name.
Just my $ 0.02

Nick,
I am not trying to start a war with everyone here and my comments were not directed specifically to you or anyone else here advocating violence.
I agree that a good A$$kicking might solve the problem, but it could also cause many more. Any act of damage or violence on his neighbour could result in charges being laid against HIM, not the neighbour. If the guys are such pr$ckheads that they go to these lengths, they would probably press charges against him if he were to act. I would think that it would be relatively easy to catch these guys in the act. Then they would have to deal with the authorities.
I agree that he should try to avoid lawyers at all costs!!!!! This should be easier to settle than that.
I posted yesterday' s note quickly and perhaps I didn' t express myself well enough, but the bolded note still stands.
Happy Hunting.
Mike

I would try to hide some of the deercams on the property where they cant see them in strategic locations of the people that are doing this and use that evidence in court if possible.. if not use those pictures to confront the ranchers and tell them that you have proof and if they dont stop that you will press charges....Electric fence for the cows and dogs maybe?? or even get sandshot for a shotgun or rat shot for a pistol or a bb gun for the dogs to deter them..

Josh has a good idea, with the possibility of " Kodak moments."
We had a group of guys who were on the 900 acres adjoining us, who were real jerks. They would bust our various members' chops when we strayed over onto their property, then they would send 12-year old kids over onto our property to drive deer over onto their side. They liberally applied diesel fuel and gasoline to deer trails at the border of our land. This sort of behavior went on for years, then the ownership of the 900 acres changed hands--and we found pot growing on the land. We made sure that the new owner knew of the discovery. He tossed the jerks off of the land, then offered the lease to us, which we gladly took. The jerks' camp is on 20 acres at the far end of the property, and they actually had the gall to inquire about joining our camp! (The one guy who was asked tried hard not to laugh.)

If the dogs are running deer on your property you may have the legal right to shoot them. If it has to come to that. After all they don' t know their doing wrong.

Try the all the legal BS first. If that doesn' t work, than I don' t see a problem with calling the dog pound and having them come and collect the dogs. You didn' t know they were your neighbors, you thought they were strays. It always feels good to get even.
