In virtually every aspect of my post, I indicate the positives, that it is a request, a recommendation, an option, that it is not mandatory, that it's ok for them not to disclose that info and to see it as something to consider. LOL!

So when you say "I think it is up to each person to indicate where they are from."...

...that is exactly what I had already said in not the same words!

I wont comment on a question when I do not know where they are from. How do you answer someone when you dont know where their from. Or comment on pictures of a animal when you dont know where it came from, all regoins of the country have different trophys.
Great post, just might want to change the title so people will read it and get the idea and state their location on their profile.

agreed!!I have my state if nothing else it is cool to see where people are from lol

I've seen posts on other sites where people find out your state, the county, the town, what area you are hunting... They come into town... start asking questions, find out where you are hunting and next thing you know they are on your property.
While you're out there please tell me where the deer are hiding. And could you also keep track of when the dogs are running? Let me know so I know when I can take care of other things instead of wasting my time sitting in a stand watching the weeds grow.

I can't stand folks who leave their profiles blank!

I lie to know who I'm getting advice and feedback from, where they are from, etc., etc.

I also would like to know if it's a guy with 40 years of hunting experience or a 10 year old offering me advice! LOL!

I totally agree that having at least your state listed helps people give advice to posters. If you just put the state you live in it would be extremely hard for someone to track you down but it would help everyone on the site provide more useful tips.

Good post for sure!

I didn't have mine posted...but I do now. I didn't even think about it, but you're right, we are talking to each other...it's nice to know a little bit about each other.
