Very Mad: Where Are You From? Pics
#11
* When I say "advice", that is what I'm referring to... "up to each person...".
* When I say "it would help quite a bit to know what state or region they live so to best help them", that is what I am referring to... "up to each person...".
* I also say "I offer this advice so we can help each other better..." that is what I am referring to... "up to each person...".
* I even further say "Adding where you are from is not mandatory.." that is what I am referring to... "up to each person...".
* Then further along I also say "I am not telling you to do it." that is what I am referring to... "up to each person...".
* And further yet I say "If you feel more comfortable not disclosing that information, that is ok and your option." that is what I am referring to... "up to each person...".
* And lastly; Quote = "Something to consider." that is what I am referring to... "up to each person...".
In virtually every aspect of my post, I indicate the positives, that it is a request, a recommendation, an option, that it is not mandatory, that it's ok for them not to disclose that info and to see it as something to consider. LOL!
So when you say "I think it is up to each person to indicate where they are from."...
...that is exactly what I had already said in not the same words!

I agree 100 percent. It should be manditory to have your location posted so we know where you are from, at least the state.
I wont comment on a question when I do not know where they are from. How do you answer someone when you dont know where their from. Or comment on pictures of a animal when you dont know where it came from, all regoins of the country have different trophys.
Great post, just might want to change the title so people will read it and get the idea and state their location on their profile.

You must also remember that there are people out there that will go through GREAT lengths to find out where a trail camera photo came from and do everything in their power to sneak out onto the land and try to take the deer.
I've seen posts on other sites where people find out your state, the county, the town, what area you are hunting... They come into town... start asking questions, find out where you are hunting and next thing you know they are on your property.

I can't stand folks who leave their profiles blank!
I lie to know who I'm getting advice and feedback from, where they are from, etc., etc.
I also would like to know if it's a guy with 40 years of hunting experience or a 10 year old offering me advice! LOL!

I totally agree that having at least your state listed helps people give advice to posters. If you just put the state you live in it would be extremely hard for someone to track you down but it would help everyone on the site provide more useful tips.
Good post for sure!
