Found Him This Morning!!!
I shot this buck yesterday afternoon about an hour before dark. I only found a little blood and some hair and thought maybe I didn't get a good shot on him even though I thought I did. Went and sat in another stand this morning before going back to look again. Honestly I just got lucky because I had about given up after not finding anymore blood when I walk up on this guy. Turns out I put a pretty good lung shot on him. He was about 100 yards from where I shot him with my Remington Model 710 270. I thought he was an 8 pt but he ended up not having any brow tines. Weighed 148 lbs

Was the meat ok? I stuck an 11 pt. two weeks ago, we looked for two days and couldn't find him. I went out for a walk with my choc. lab yesterday and he found the buck about 100 yds. from the last blood. He had circled back and crawled into a dead fall. I really feel bad that the meat spoiled. I'm still bummin!!!!!!!!!!!! Thats great you found him.
