We don't have an early Muzzleloader season here in Illinois, instead the state doesn't give us a Muzzleloader season until mid-December!

The earliest we can use a Muzzleloader here is our general firearm season, the weekend before Thanksgiving.

On a cool note though, last weekend was our special Youth Season and my 9 year old son (Mathew) was fortunate enough to take his first ever Muzzleloader deer! One shot from his Encore Pro Hunter and he's addicted to blackpowder!

Here in Minnesota, we can use a ML durring our normal gun season, and that starts around the 7th of November for 1 week. Then our ML season starts the Saturday after THanksgiving, and runs for 3 weeks.

Early muzzy in MD starts Thursday 10/22-10/24. I wont be able to go out until Saturday. I plan on hunting near a bedding area that morning and then hunting a power cut that afternoon. If something is too far away I'll put a stalk on it.
