That many small bucks would lead me to think that improper nutrition is the factor not bad genetics. Keep on the does in a couple weeks and you will be fine. killing the smaller buck could scent up your area(from trackin and draggin) and ruin it for you.

Leave those little buck alone, they will grow up and at this point you don't know about their genetic potential. He may have the best potential for the biggest antlers ever, but you don't know it yet. Also the messed up bucks someone spoke of may have sustained an injury this year that will go away in future or it might someday be a huge nontypical. You don't know yet. Nature has a way of working things out, but after 3-4 years and still no antlers, cull them.

I appreciate it guys. As for the rut down here I'm not talking about full rut. Just the pre-rut. I spot light many nights and have noticed the bucks aren't paired up any more like they were 3/4 weeks ago, and have been seeing mostly young bucks following does around and trying to mount with no to little success. Around our Harvest moon though things usually heat up.
