what if late to registration station??
In wi, got to registered deer by 5PM. What if I shot the deer at 4PM and took almost an hour to dragged it out of the woods and by the time I get to the registration station, it's like 5:30PM..
Then what? Do i sit around until the morning? Come back with the deer in the morning???

Seems to me you must register the deer by 5:00PM on the day AFTER it was killed.
within the unit of kill or adjacent unit of kill within the CWD Management Zone

I think he is more concerned about getting it registered and in the freezer right away with this hot butt weather we have going on right now....... For bow, it's 5pm the day after it was killed for cwd units, otherwise its 5 pm 3 days after the kill or 5pm the day after season which ever somes first for all other units. For gun, its 5 pm the day after the kill for cwd units and 5pm the day after season for all other units. Most registration stations are open until 8pm and most gas stations that register will do it for you after 8pm even though they don't like to sometimes and if they don't want to tell them how important it is that they register it for you so the deer will not spoil, as it will over night in these hot conditions. Hope this helps. Good luck. WCL
