It really irks me. Every time I go to the gun shop to buy 30-06 ammo, I have to get a different brand. One time Federal, next time Nitrex. Seems the same brand is never in stock. Thinking of taking it all bacl & getting Remington at Wally world.

When buying ammo, if you can, buy all you need for sighting in and the hunting season. That way, you won't get caught needing bullets and not being able to find the brand and weight you want. If you want to take it a step further, check the boxes you buy to see if they are from the same lot.

I shot remy corelokts 180gr for seven years and they shot great. Than I bought a box of winchester super x in 150 gr. which was a lil cheaper and actually they shot a little bit better out of my gun. Ended up taking two deer with them last year and they both fell on the spot, bullet performed very well.

Can't go wrong with the Core Lokt's IMO.

The 180 grain winchester powerpoints shoot great out of my Remington.
