I like the Fusion 180 grain loads but Remington Core-Lokts are good too in the same bullet weight. I have killed a few deer with both, and prefer the Fusion bullet because of weight retention, in my experience.

My two .06's like the 150 gr. Cor-Lokt better than Federal or Hornady. But that is just my 2 guns.

You'd be nuts not to shoot rem core loks. I ve dropped many deer in their tracks and like everyone else says their cheaper. I prefer using 180 grains with the PSP (pointed soft points).

Back when i bought ammo Rem was my choice, still is now that i reload everything.
Buy the rem, find a reloader and i'll bet he'll take the brass off your hands.

Picked up two boxes of 165gr. fusions 18.99/box. For that price thought I would give them a try. I did read a post that said federal switched to a cheaper powder, so new ones may not be as good as the old ones.

I bought some Remington Core-Lokt's tonight from D*i*c*k*s Sporting Goods for $11.98 a box. It was supposed to be a mail in rebate but they were giving the discount at the register.

I use 150 grain loads for deer and the Remingtons group much better than the Winchesters. I haven't tried the fusions just because the core-lokts give me 3/4" groups and they work.

Been shooting 150 gr Power Point plus Winchester in my Savage 110, 30-06 for three years now and have had great success. I shoot the same 150 gr PP from Winchester in my Browning A-bolt, 7mm Rem mag. Again, great bullet and easy on the wallet.

The key is, whichever one you choose, stick with it. Don't bother trying 'the latest and greatest' bullet out there if your rifle already performs well with what you using. As stated before by another reply, buy plenty of the one you choose to get you through the range and deer season. And if you could get them from the same lot number, well thats even better.

I've always used Remington Corelocks but I've read some great reviews on the Fusions.
