RE: How many hunters per acreage do you hunt with?

I know you guys are talking about hunting whitetails on private land.
But I am bored at work so I am going to pitch in just for fun.
This is info on mule deer public land in Idaho up by the Salmon River.
Last year Oct. 5th opening day I drove 20 miles into a dead end road which stops at the edge of a wilderness area. I did not see any other cars or camps anywhere on the way in. Across the river from the dead end of this road there is a wilderness area where the hunting season opens September 15th and the closest road is 25 miles. I hunted for two days. When I left driving out the same road I did not see any cars either.
So conservatively figuring I had at least 15 square miles to myself or around 10,000 acres. The number was probably much higher because generally there are no hunters in this area before October 15th and the deer season opens October 5th. (assuming we are not counting the high numbers of bears, cougars and the active wolf pack in the area as hunters)
Deer season opens before elk out here and most guys who are going into these rougher more remote areas save their vacation time and hunt this area when the elk season and deer season are both open together on October 15th.

I have 10 plus my neighbors 50 for 4 of us. But the ajoining 500 or so acres only has one or two others hunting and across the road I guess there is a few thousand acers with just a few hunters . I rarely hear a shot that I don' t know who the hunter is, one of us four. I do think from snow trailing deer that most stay on the same 50 or so acres there whole life unless someone goes and chases them. I many times while sitting in my tree hope for other hunters to wander the woods and move some deer. There are thousands of acres contigious that just don' t see a person ever.
