HK I have my trail cam mounted on a two by four with a piece of plywood at the top and two screws at the bottom to help hold it up.I can put it anywhere.Bait in front of your cam is fine,I agree with Bryant.Oh the two by four is about three feet long.

this is my first year hunting private land. my whole life i have hunted public land to where it was illegal to bait, feed, etc. my feeders are filled with protein pellets, not corn. so what i am feeding is actually benefiting my deer population, not just fattening them up like corn does. i also will not be hunting over it or near it. i put the feeders up solely to give the herd better nutrition and for game cam pictures.

I do something similar. In my food plots, where there aren't any trees, I take post hole diggers and set an old wooden fence post. It takes about 1 minute to set and works perfect for setting up a game cam.
I will usually put my camera on a trail coming into my plot, over a mineral lick, or over bait. Sorry if this makes me any less of a hunter b/c I put my camera over bait. Haha, this always amazes me, we have many enemies out there trying to take our rights away from us and we fight amongst ourselves about putting corn out. This type of stuff is what all the activist thrive off of, I wish we could use all this energy towards something that is worth arguing over.

i agree why fight if its legal theirs no need to say if its wrong or right.....my opinion of course

All that was asked is what to put in front of a trail cam, then we get the holier that thous.Of coarse I hunt in my loin cloth and stone tipped spear, anyone hunting different is wrong.
We might need to get Jerry on the line if this continues to much more
