Rice bran is pretty popular around here. I've never used it, but hunters I have talked to swear by it. I have always used just corn.

From what I understand, it can be bought at feed stores pretty cheap. I've used Buck Grub before and it has rice bran in it. The deer in my area seem to like it. But I have heard stories of guys using straight rice bran and they say it works great for attracting/holding deer.

I started using rice bran last year and the deer loved it. I poured out in piles the size of a 5 gal bucket. Deer would dig holes to get to it.

i feed straight pelletized Anters Plus and the deer seem to like it. i can put out corn next to it and the deer will eat the protein pellets up before they touch the corn.
