Try to find the Swedish MORA knives. YOu would be hardpressed to find a better knife for the price. they are either stainless steel or carbon steel for about $15. they are sharp and hold up very well. Fantastic knives for the price.

Buck 110 is the only way to go. I use one, I bought one for my son when he started to hunt, and I'll probably buy one for my grand kids (if I get any)when they start hunting. That is if the 110 is still made in the USA.

Second is a CRKT Bridger:
The Cutco is nice, because it is wicked sharp and holds an edge really well. But, with the serrated edge, you have to ship it back to Cutco for sharpening.
I like the CRKT because the blade shape works well for caping. It doesn't hold an edge nearly as long as the Cutco, but, I can sharpen it myself...

I have had many pocket knives but my trusty case xx has been with me since i started hunting 30 years ago and was my fathers before giving it to me .... the quality of steel is impressive holds a hell of an edge and fits the job perfect .... all of them Im betting that knife has to be 55 years old or older.. bought the same knife for each of my boys and one for my wife.

An original Marble. I have a couple more but that one is the one I hunt with. I also have a couple Wolverine knife works from Rapid River (now Rapid River Knife works) and a Bark river Knife and Tool that are all exceptional.
