When to plant Milo?

When to plant Milo?
Does anyone know when to plant milo, specifically in Oklahoma? It may have passed, but since I have no plans of harvesting it I figure I could plant it anyway.
Also thinking about alfalfa if you know that as well although I heard its pretty tough to plant due to the seed being so small.
Thanks.
Greg

RE: When to plant Milo?
I planted mine last night in SC kansas, alfalfa will be late sept or early oct.main thing with it is getting your PH as high as you can and getting a weed free seed bed.You can spray next year but it is easier.Alfalfa is good but expensive to plant and maintain

Thanks. Obviously in Kansas, there is a heck of a lot more milo that there is down here, but about how much is 50lbs of milo running this year?
Also - How many lbs-per-acre do I need to spread to have optimal growth?
Thanks!
