I use both climbers and chain on stands depending upon the situation. I do like to use the climbers a lot more and only use the chain on if I can' t get a climber into the right position. The climbers are a lot safer, I get the willies trying to hang those chain ons while holding onto the tree 20 feet up. That' s the main reason I avoid using them if possible. Once they' re in place they' re fairly safe, but you' re risking your neck trying to hang them.

I use chain on stands mostly and then i lock them really good with titanium locks and chains. It takes a machine to cut them. I also use my climber for areas that im trying out. Then, once i find a decent area ill trow a lock on up in there.

Where I hunt there aren' t any trees or what there are wouldn' t support a tree stand . I have never seen anyone hunt this area in a tree stand in the twenty some years I have been hunting there .
