Missouri public land
I am planning a bowhunting trip this fall (2009) to hunt on publicland in north Missouri. I am wondering how much hunting pressure there is on the public land. Has anyone bowhunted on the public land in recent years? Any info would be great.

I have hunted on various public land up North, where specifically are you talking NE, Centeral or NW? I have hunted a lot in the NE on public land and it's ok until about 10/31, then there are some people around for sure. The week prior to gun season is border line terrible in my opinion. BUT it all depends on the specific area b/c some are much more popular than others. There's always secluded pockets no one hunts too.

There is about 6 or 7 spots that I am looking at right now. They are all across the north but mostly north central and north east. I am planning on hunting the end of Oct. before the youth season. Have you ever hunted sugar creek, big creek, or honey creek conservation area?
