I just got permission to hunt an absolutely prime piece of NE Kansas property next fall! It's got everything: creek bottoms, crop fields (corn and soybeans), timber, areas of thick weeds and brush, etc. It looks fabulous in its deer potential, even by Kansas standards. Oh boy, am I excited!

I would get it in writing and make sure that the permission is actually coming from the person who's name is on the deed. Better safe than sorry.

Me too. I was over at the nearby prop I bow hunt and was talking to the owner. He said his friend lives out near Ottawa (about 50-60 miles from here) and has 60 acres "with deer everywhere". A quick call and he tells me, "All yours. You can bring one partner."

Now I gotta get out there pretty dang soon and check it out. I told him plenty of venison will be coming their way.

This outta work out good, especially if the leftover gun permits going over the counter after second draw. I'll have permits for my place down south and get some for Ottawa (LaSalle county) too.
