I have always heard that you do not mess with the meat of a deer like that, any of the meat. I have always followed that advice and do not want to try it and get sick.

dont touch it or eat it at that. call the game worden and he will test it but dont do anything tell you get it tested

Visitor,My brother shot a buck one year that had a wound from archery season.He took it to a butcher and he wouldn't touch it.Have someone look at it first.

If it has gotten into the spine,that means it is in the blood system,which means it is in the whole deer. I recomend,discard the whole thing.
no need to make anyone sick foe a little meat.

Definitly wouldn't try eating it .Even if the game warden said it was good .I doubt they would go to the trouble of testing it.
