Several good calibers there. If I had to pick one it would be the 30-06, followed closely by the .270.

I like my 270 and the 06 but my "go to" rifle when I head to the deer woods is my trusty 30/30. This yr I've used the Leverevolution and I am even more pleased.

I have always shot .308 but if I was to chase a moose I think I might get something else.I can find 180gr rounds for the .308 but would like the added oooomph of a 220 gr round 30-06.

If I get drawn for an ME moose permit this year I will buy a new gun not that I don't think the .308 will do it, but just cause.

PS.. I have been waiting 10 years now for my Moose permit with tons of added draws and still can't get one!!
