Default Weatherby Vanguard

What is your opinion on this gun? I'm looking @ the one with the synthectic stock.

I like them a lot I just got one for Christmas and have been looking at them for a while before that. I have heard that the howa madeactions are very good and that you can build excellent custom guns off them. The 1 1/2 accuracy really helps too.

thank-you that shed a little more light on the subject.The 3 guns I'm looking @ are the Rem 700,Tikka T3& the Weatherby. Which one in your opinion do you feel is the better choice?

I had one chambered in 7mm Mag. It was a sweet gun and shot very good. IMO you can't beat it for the money!

great value
smooth action
with the synthetic stock, recoil was very sharp with my 7mag
i like the magazine release

i am not sure how well they hold their value

I have one in a 243, light recoil and shoots great. My wife has even killed a couple of deer with it.

I've only heard one guy say something negative about the gun.He had an issue with the safety,he felt that it could accidently go off the safe position.Nobody else had that problem.I personally think it's a good value for the money.
