Default Trail Cam Question

So I got a new Moultrie cam for chirstmas and I hung it up behind my house to see if it works. All I keep getting is pictures of deer butts. It is like the deer come through and the camera doesn't snap a picture for a long time. Is there something I can do to make it take a picture quicker? I have a lot of pics where I can see the hind end but never anything forward of that. Is there a setting that I am missing or do I just kind of have to deal with it?

your cam might be up a little to high for the sensor to snap the pic i use moultire's and cuddeback's all the time and the hight of the cam can be a factorof the speed of your shot before the sensor sees the deer

If you can see the butts then you need to turn your camera a little facing the direction they are coming from.

it takes a little time for the camera to snap the picture (about 3 seconds), it needs to face the direction the deer are moving. I set mine up in the house and let it snap photos of the dog to figure out how its going to work in the field.
