More important for your hunting property to have?

RE: More important for your hunting property to have?
Well I'll go against the grain...
If everything is equal, I would rather know that I can place my stand, say 100-150 yards, from a deers bed.
I believe your odds/chances will be better. Here's my thoughts...
Most deer will likely have a few bedding areas, if their not pressured.
However, they might eat 50 different types of food, depending on what's in season, so which food source will you plant?
I realize the standard apple trees, white oaks, corn, clover, etc... works well for the hunting season, but that's a lot of work too!
That's gonna be one big property.
I would rather own a few acres of bedding area and wait for them to get tired or bored!

I said bedding because they will spend more time in the bedding area than the feeding area. Also not just a bedding area is needed but a sanctuary. A place you never set foot into. This will give the deer a place to feel safe and will stay on your property. Deer dont just bed anywhere. They may laydown in a spot for a while but a true bedding area is a safe place you dont hunt or enter. I can promise you this will be one of the best things you can do for a hunting spot.
