anyone here ever put out vanilla on scent wicks and had deer some into it?
or do you think vanilla would work to bring in deer?

I know a lot of folks i know swear by it, but i aint ever tried it!

never seen vanilla used to attract anything ,i have used it to as a cover scent to hide human odor. vanilla or sweet anise both will work.

I used some this year. I didn't have any success with it, but people say that deer will come right to it.

i might try it but i dont want to scare deer away with it.
should i try it with a scent drag and a scent wick?

use maple syrup..... just the smell of it will bring deer in

really. i have never heard of that tactic. how do you go about doing that?

just stick your wick in the syrup and get the wick coated with syrup.... they'll smell it. I use maple syrup alot in the off season to get the deer in front of my game cams to see how my herd is looking for the up coming season... maple syrup works great.

another good thing you can use that i use alot is take you a small pot and fill it a lil over half way with water.... take some apples and cut them up over the pot so all the juices drain into the pot.... after you cut the apples up throw them in with the water... then add about a cup of sugar to the water and bring it to a boil....after you let it boil for about 5 minutes or so take all the liquid in the pot and put into a spray bottle and spray some trees that your hunting around.... they'll come too it!!!
