Default Jon-E Handwarmer

I just picked up one of the Jon-E handwarmers and noticed it gives off an odor while burning. Has anyone used one of these, and does the odor send deer the other way? Thanks.

It uses gas, and I'm also having a hard time keeping it running.

Hi Ed, I used that hand warmer for years, large and small size. They worked well for me. Sometimes they would go out but I'd just relite them. Never had a problem with the odor running deer off. When you get cold try putting one on your kidney, it will warm you up all over. P.S. dont put it directly on your skin, might get a little hot.
