Well, I did havea longer post, but I timed it out. And lost the post. [:@]
Sitting on a tree stump, I heard a crack off to my right. I looked to the right and seen that it was a buck directly to my right, about 15 yds away. Now my gun is laying in my lap pointing in the opposite direction. What the hell do I do? Take a risk and attempt to pivot around so I can get a good shot at him? Didn't want to risk it. So, I figured I would try this left handed. Now, my vision in my left eye is slightly different than the one in my right eye. So, when I attempted to line up with the scope,I noticed I needed to get CLOSER to the scope, and I was having difficulty keeping my dominant eye closed. Finally after winking at this buck and making him think I was a fruitcake, I finally got the crosshairs lined up on him and let it rip. Dropped him on the spot. THANK YOU! I was only 50 yds from the property line and the next door neighbor isn't exactly a nice guy.
Ended up being a 2 pointer with 8" spikes. Funny, I left my gloves back on the tree stump, but I did remember to grab the empty shell. Not bad I guess for a first deer.

Why did you take your empty shell? And why does your forehead hurt again?
But good Job!
Sack punch for no pics!!!

Forehead hurts because the forend of the gun was resting on my right hand finger tips and it jumped back slamming the scope on my forehead.
I can get pics tommorow, but they won't be the forum standard pics.

When I read he title I knew what you had done. I warn people about sneaking up on the scope. I've been touched a time or two but never hit hard. Seen plenty of people cut by the scope...Ouch!
Congrats on the Buck! We look forward to pics.
