Default richochet theory

this may sound kinda wierd cause it did to me when i first heard it i told my hunting friend that i seen a nice buck about 200 yds away way to much brush in the way for a shot. he said i shoulda shot anyway cause the deer couldvve heard the richochet and ran my way wondering if anyone else has heard of this he says this works quite often

Also good way to wound a beautiful animal.

Your friend wanted you to try and make the brush around the deer make noise hopeing it would run to you. Yea it may work, but you may also wound that deer, hit something you cannot see, or even hit a person or someone in the brush. BAD IDEA. Always be sure of your shot.

my thoughts were the same no way id ever shoot at a deer that didnt offer a good shot. and belive it or not the freind of mine is quite a bit older then me hes in his 40s and killed alot of big deer but i do not an any way think i will ever try this. i was just windering if anyone else had heard of this richochet theory

If you cannot clearly identify the deer, and that deer does not present an elthical shot angle, just pass.

As for the "richochet theory", you are kidding aren't you ?

no im not kidding he told me i shouldve tried it i guess its not really a theory its just the only way i couls describe it as i said im never gonna try this i was just wonderd if anyone else had heard about this richochet idea thanx
