Default Deer question

I got a question about my scope. Im shooting a T/C Triumph and have Nikon BDC reticle scope on it. I sighted it in using the number 9 zoom option (zoom options are 1-9) and shot a deer opening morning on the 9 zoom. Idroped it, then I've missed two deer on the 5 setting and just shot at a target to see what was up and missed it twice so I set it on zoom 9 and hit it twice. Can the zoom really affect the shot I always thought the zoom didnt.

Default RE: Deer question

Its not supposed to effect the shot sound like the scope broke. Its supposed to be on no matter what the zoom

Default RE: Deer question

I have several Nikon in the Prostaff model and at 100 yards POI is the same at all the way through the 3-9 range.

Something does not seem right
