shogun slugs out of a mossberg 12 ga
i shoot lightfields, the most accurate for me, and theyre the recommended slug out of mossbergs, but theyre getting pricey-$14 a box...so i was wondering what other options i might have, as far as cheaperbut not lacking quality

BRENAKEES..i think that is how they are spelled..they are rather cheap and man will shoot holes inside of holes...but i to shoot lightfeilds out og my 870 and i shot brenakees as well but lightfeilds just shot better for me..

I shoot Brenekes out of my Mossberg 500 12. This would depend on what best shoots out of your barell though. I have an original mossberg 500 rifled, ported slug barell on my Mossberg. Not a Hastings or other mfgd barell. It has fiberoptic sights as well. If youre running smooth bore I recomend the ferderal 3 Inch mag sabot,if you can handle them.

Why not the Federal rifled slugs?

If you're shooting a rifled barrel, try Brenneke KO Sabots. $8 a box around here, and shoot just fine for me.
If you shoot a smoothbore, forget sabots and shoot good old rifled slugs.
