Will dragging a scent rag through the snow still leave scent for a buck to track?

Should I use a boot pad instead?

Also, maybe this a stupid question, but how about my tracks but no deer tracks?

If you drag a scent will it leave a scent? Yes, how strong or how long will it last, I dont know. I wouldnt use the boots as the snow will help wash it off quicker. jsut my thoughts.
