Could someone tell me how you go about doing your euro head mounts? I want to do my own. I have a skull that is clean and want to boil it to get it some of the flesh off. So how long do you boil it and what do you use to scrub it with to get it clean. Any help will do. I suppose you don't want the horns to touch the side of the container you are boiling water in.

I would deffinatly look where he desribed.I did a skull about 2 weeks ago and it's not too hard,we shot deer at first light and by midnight we had it skinned and boiled down to almost ready.Only problem we had was the guy got in hurry a couple days later and got pyroxide on antlers and bleached them a little,he got in a hurry!Brain removal is the hardest part, next to jaw removal!

If you've ever done one of these you know what a pain in the @ss they can be. This way takes time but almost no effort.
I have done many and they turn out excellent. Skin the head and remove the bottom jaw, thensubmerge it in a 5 gal. bucket of water.
wait 2 weeks and change only half of the water, when you do this squirt it down with the hose, wait another 2 weeks and repeat that........normally within a month to 6 weeks the skull will be clean as a whistle. Boil it for a few minutes to kill the germs.
When you remove the head from the boil and rinse it, paint/coat it with a mix of boric acid and peroxide. Let sit 24 hrs and rinse.
Thats it.
