Default Advise on antler mount technique

Hi Guys,

So far I've cut the top of the skull off with the antlers attached, skinned back the hide and hair to the base of the antlers and have it soaking in brine water.

I'd like to know how to retain the hide and hair to cover the skull when I finish the mount.

Any help much appreciated, it's my boys first deer.

Thanks, - Jay

You will need to tan it. I think these look much better though, just my 2 cents.

Next time either do a full euro or what i tend to do with most I like ot call a half euro. Cut from behind the horns all the way through teh lower eye socket and tip of the nose. Boil for 2-3 hours and scrape periodically nad you have a great looking skull to mount on a plank. take hlaf the time nad mess of a full euro and for most doens't look as rugged
