Check and see what the best price you can get the Bushnell 3200 Elite 3x9x40 with Rainguard for. It is a great scope for the price, and Bushnell has a special now that gives you a real nice camo hunting jacket (priced at about$125)for free with the purchase of an Elite product.

burris fullfield II(love mine), or nikon buckmaster(almost good as monarch for half the price), or bushnell 3200 for a another $20(very good scope). About $200 seems to be the sweet spot for scopes.

RE: looking for a new scope?
spend as much as you can...
I suggest a leupold vx-iii, or nikon monarch....monarch gold....whichever. Over $200, but worth it. May not need a $1000 scope, but a $500 vs. a $250, is a much bigger deal in my book. Course once you buy a nice one, you'll never again want anything less....
So if you want to buy one for 200 but can spend 300, spend 300 on something nicer. Good luck.

IMO, $300 scopes aren't much better than $200 scopes, Around $500 there is a big difference, but not enough to justify more than doubling the price, if you spend over $200 you might as well get a zeiss conquest or a luepold vx5 or 7.
