I can remember three bucks that I have hit myself . We live in the country and they didn' t used to keep the brush cleared away from the side of the road .it was pretty common to hit one You just had to remember to drive slow . I have even had a 8 point get his horn hooked in the mirror on my pickup .

DNR/Government Insurance Company have a radio, mail out and road signs slogans that state:

" SLOW DOWN AND SAVE A BUCK!"

Obviously you have never driven in Michigan. I know someone who hit a 10pt last fall. The only reason more does get hit than bucks is there are more does in the wild.

I have seen buck, doe, fox, turkey, dogs, cats, cow, squirrel, and many more things in the road.

I have seen a few bucks in the road and had a few close calls with some large bull elk. Definetly don' t want to hit one of those.
