my 7.5 was a 4 point buck, antlers were dwindling, I aged it at approximately 5.5 years but MDNR said he was much older and said at least 7.5 years old.

next was 4.5 buck

I killed a buck that was aged to be at least 8.5 by a local biologist. He said it was hard to tell past that. Next would be a 5.5 but my biggest buck was 4.5

according to the Jaw bones that i had looked at by biologist,

Doe: 6.5
Buck: 9.5 a 6point-wide w/ short tines and semi thick all around, he was gray and was having trouble walking, he hobbled around from arthritis, he barely had teeth. It was a mercy kill if anything, but it was cool to have shot one that old.

I shot a 8 pointer that the biologist said was 7.5 years old. He was the biggest body buck I've ever shot and only had three good legs. He looked like he got hit by a car and his front leg was absessed around the elbow joint. It was tucked up under his body. He field dressed at 235 lbs. Wish I had a digital pic of him but that was back with the 35 mm days.

I'll tell you when I get the jaw back from the taxidermist. I'm assuming the one I shot this year is but I'm not sure. My buddy shot an 8.5yo buck 2 years ago. He has a 22 inch wide, heavy 5 pointer. Pushing 300lbs. Here's mine.
