I use the .300 win mag. I've used it on deer and antelope. I like the range, power, and feel of it. It doesn't ruin any more meat than the .270 with the bullets I use. I wouldn't think twice about hunting with a .270, I just like my .300 better. Both work great.

Whichever you can shhot the best and have the most confidence in. All the energy from a heavier 30cal. bullet, does not mean a thing if you cannot place a good shot.
