you get busted by a group of does... what do you do now?

Stay put! Even though you might think that everything in a two mile radius is heading for the hills, they are NOT! If they didn'tbust you because of a scent control problem or just a totally bad setup, chances are good that other deer will keep moving through the area.
Anything and everything spooks deer, tree branches falling, other animals, etc. Deer in the area will calm down soon enough, unless............
they smell you! Then you are really BUSTED!

I've snorted back @ em once, and it worked, but i would be careful how you do it, because if they smell you ur done, and they get educated pretty darn quick.

When I bust a group of does, the first thing I do is duck down. Many times they'll stop close by and try to figure out what spooked them. If you're crouched down, many times they won't see you and they'll go about their business after a while. So I give it about 10 minutes, and then go to my stand and hit the grunt call a few times and wait.
Sometimes the group will try to get back together again and you can catch them then. Although, if you busted a group of does that smelled you good, and they ran off snorting with their tails raised, it's a different story. I just try to hunt another area nearby.

They may not go far in heavily hunted areas where there is a very real danger of bumping into another hunter. In the High Peaks Wilderness area of the Adirondacks, they WILL, on many occassion, head for the next water shed, much like Elk out West. It just depends on the geography, pressure..

Its already happened to me this season with a certain group of does. I wouldn't worry about it too much. My brother ended up killing on of the does the next day and I took one of them the next week. Just don't sppok them too much. Once isn't gonna mater with a group of does in my opinion but I'm sure others may disagree.. and thats fine.

get rid of them old does they are lookouts for the big boys
