Default STAND ADVICE

well bow opens for me on monday.buck sign has been slow until today.i scouted my area and found at least 8 fresh scapes all with licking branches and probably 15 to 20 rubs.there are a few acorns dropping but no real distinct runs just wondering tracks.so my ? is where to set up.over some of the scrapes or in the cover or in the acorn flat?this is a new area so im not sure how the deer move there.what would you do?this area is tore up right now.

i'd say between the food source (acorns) and the scrape line. from my experience there should be some kind of transition line between the 2. set up on that transition line.

This may be a cat and mouse game at first, but find any good route from the food source and set up to ambush them. I would also keep an eye on the rubs and find a good rub line.
