Default Stand placement advice

I've got land in the Texas Hill Country that is loaded with deer. This year will be my first bow hunting the property but I'm not sure how to set up. I have several live oaks, mesquite and cedar but none of them have the trunk diameter to put up a tree stand or ladder stand. I am considering using a pop up blind and shoot through the windows. I have a tripod but it makes too much noise and wouldn't be practical up close. Any ideas?

Beleive it or not but tripods make very good sense. Put it up before the season starts and make sure it is next to one of those trees so you will have some cover. Clear out at least 2 shooting lanes that are a known distance...i.e. 20 yards long (that is my target practice distance). Proper preparation is the key to harvesting on a consistant basis.
