Shedmanpyro- please don't be offended but these people should have let the deer out when it was weened. That is if this story is even true.
Hmmmm, lets see an eight point buck in the house. I'm sure he was potty trained, he probably used the komode and wiped his rear.

Wild animals belong in the wild. In fact in Geogia you have to get a permit from the DNR to keep a wild animal. In other words it's not legal to have a pet deer without permission from the Gov't.

Shorthair, it is true. I saw it with my own eyes. The deer was not house trained, they had to clean up after it all the time. But it did go in and out of the house when it wanted to. I agree that it should have been let go once it was weaned. There are many people that have kept deer as pets for various periods of time. Ask around. I bet in your area you will hear of at least one story of someone keeping a deer.

Greets,
Hmmm interesting story. As fopr the PETA thing I just read, AND WE WONDER WHY HUNTERS ARE SHOOTING EACH OTHER!! Sounds awfully dangerous to me, I mean first they cloth deer this way and advertise it.. Then someone puts out a reward for returned vests. So now you got a bunch of otherwise responsible hunters ( we hope ) deliberately gunning for orange vests.
A recipe for disaster for certain.
( maybe thats what PETA wanted??)

Just my uneducated opinion!

I want to clarify. In my last post I said I had seen it with my own eyes. I DID see a deer with a orange vest on but It didn't have anything to do with PETA. It was a family that nurses animals back to health and they kept the deer as a pet.

That's about the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. Next they'll be hanging bells on their antlers, and wearing those little lighted sneakers that they make for kids.

Now if you want to hear a true story, I know a guy who tagged a deer with a glowing red nose and...
