Im thinking about trying to rattle in a big buck i have been scouting, but i have no idea what time of day and time of year to try. I have never done this before but i think i might have a good chance with this one! Im trying to get it during the bow season that starts on Oct. 4 in my area, because rifle hunting is against the law here in this county.

Pre-rut is the best time.....last week Oct to first week or so in Nov.

If you rattle earlier do so more gently then hit it hard come pre rut.
