Question about bear hunting?

Question about bear hunting?
I live in NC and it is legal to bait for deer. However it is illegal to bait for bear. These two seasons overlap each other. I have several trail cam pics of the bear starting to eat my bait that is placed for deer. It is nothing more then corn. When you buy NC big game tags you are allowed to take bear and deer so my question is if I am hunting deer over a bait pile and a bear walks buy DURING season. Am i allowed to shoot it or is that considered baiting for bear? Thanks[/align]

In WV...the laws are the same. If that bear even visits your bait pile, you have broken the law.
If it was legal...everyone would start baiting deer with donuts and bacon grease...

RE: Question about bear hunting?
Check your game laws.Try to see if the bear is coming into your bait from the same direction and pull your stand away from the pile.If it is legal maybe you can shoot the bear before he reaches your pile.
