Just curious what most people hunt out there. In some states (such as parts of the North East) space is cramped, so it makes for some interesting placed to put your stand.

all public for me, state and national

The land I own is bordered by national forest land so I hunt both private and public land.

I voted as "your the owner"......actually its my sister and her husband but they are more than friends.

I avoid hunting public land as much as possible. Too many hunters and not enough game.

I primarily hunt private land that borders state game lands and forestry land so I have about 1500 acres that I can hunt. I should also say that the state land does not have any easy access due to all of the old logging roads having been baricaded off. So pressure is usually pretty light..

I hunt both but, my main stand is just 20 yards off the public land on my buddy's land. Even though it is public right next to me it's almost land locked all the way around with other private land.

I hunt a variety. Public, Private owned, and private permission from friend

I tend to hunt private when I can gain permission. I have gun hunted public land once and only once. It was a very scary experience. Too many people in one area. When you see8 people (men, women & kids) with no camo, roll out of a station wagon and head off in the woods....I don't think so. I could have been wrong and they could have known what they were doing but.... From then on I have stuck to hunting on my familys land. I still bow hunt the area on occasion but that's it.
