Federal forest land, military land and state forest land. Used to hunt private but lost land in divorce. Have enjoyed the challenge better anyway. Quantity is less on the public, but better on quality.

Mainly private. Our state private lands are used primarily for pheasant hunting. I am sure a lot of people deer hunt on them, but there aren't many trees, mostly CRP.

Just curious what most people hunt out there. In some states (such as parts of the North East) space is cramped, so it makes for some interesting placed to put your stand.

Please choose the Option that you most often hunt during the season.
I would like to hunt private land, except the lease's in NC cost so much.
And all the land around me is allready leased.
And getting perrmission is out the window, since all the land is leased.

Gas being high also kills going far away to hunt.

I hope every one else has it better than me.

public managed hunts, private permission from a friend, and a lease program.

Have lost most of my private land, but still have a couple extremely small patches left. Have resorted to hunting some public land. Will keep bowhunting the public land, but last year was the last time I'll step foot on it during rifle season. It was an @#$% zoo!
