personally, I'd let my dad do it. Being as young as I am I'm going to have many more opportunities to bag a monster.

If ya hunt together shoot the thing together.
Than make the decision as to who will cancel the tag after its down.
Honestly, your Dad will want you to shoot it (all Dads do)
Grateful kids will want to return the favor.
But the next thing you know, by the time a decision is made as to who is going to shoot it its a missed oppurtunity
cause the buck has bolted.
And you'll be pissed at on another.;)

Dad now that I am older, he gave me the opportunities as a child, so now it is time to return the favor.

For me, whether it be hunting together with my dad or with my daughter, i would ask that they get first shot. It doesn't matter what the size of the deer.
Personally, I would actually get more joy out of either one of them shooting a deer while i am there.
No, i have not killed many deer. Yes, have killed some very nice bucks but my greatest 2 memories of hunting have been the day my daughter shot a doe on a youth hunt together and the day that my daughter, my father and me (three generations) went hunting together and never even got a shot.
If i was able to put myself with my dad or daughter in a position to take a good buck and one of them shot it, well then i'm sure i would have been able to take it too. It doesn't matter at that point who took the shot.
